TSE Develops Software to Test Small Turbine Engine Performance:

An East coast customer designs, builds, and tests small gas turbine engines. The tests verify the performance of the turbine engines for use in critical and non-critical operations. The customer requested test station software converted from old PLC control methodology to newer NI LabView control software. The customer did not have internal expertise to do this conversion to LabView.

The customer selected the necessary hardware and TSE was to write the software to work with the selected hardware. The new software was to have the same human interface as the old software to minimize technician training and maximize uptime.

Triad Systems Engineering, Inc. (TSE) created a program team with project management and technical experts in LabView. TSE built a schedule to meet the customer's aggressive timeline that incorporated weekly communications allowing the client to maintain visibility on the project progress. Key to the success was visibility of the project change orders and the progress of the human interface part of the software. The final solution met the schedule and cost including change orders and the customer got what he wanted in the look and feel of the human interface.
